Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 (D.O.E)
Hours: Monday - Friday (37.5 hrs)

Who are we?
Melody Maison is a vibrant, and fast-growing on-line retailer of French and vintage style furniture and home accessories, and we are looking to take on a new Sales assistant into our superstar team to help take us to the next level. The Melody Maison office has a positive, engaging and generous working environment, with a close-knit team, all working together to help reach business targets and goals. Our company is medium in size, and growing every day, but still holds true to a very family-like atmosphere.
What are we looking for?
Position Summary:
  • Lead and supervise a team of 8-10 warehouse staff members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with multiple couriers to schedule and track deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate transportation of products.
  • Develop and implement efficient warehouse layout plans to maximise space utilisation and optimise order fulfilment processes.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy, conducting regular cycle counts and coordinating with relevant teams for stock replenishment.
  • Collaborate with the operations and customer service departments to ensure seamless order processing and resolve any delivery-related issues.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for warehouse staff.
  • Continuously evaluate warehouse operations and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and warehouse-related activities.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in warehouse management and incorporate innovative strategies for process improvement.
We operate from a large warehouse with offices and showroom in Harworth (near Bawtry), Doncaster. Close to the Blyth A1 junction and with the bus route close by.
Qualifications & Skills
Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role in a fast-paced environment, preferably within the furniture or home decor industry.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management principles.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and software for inventory tracking and order processing.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple couriers and manage delivery schedules effectively.
  • Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with different teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities to optimise warehouse processes and resolve operational challenges.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and ability to enforce proper safety protocols.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Desired Skills:
  • Pivot License (Desired, but not essential)
